When weather worries caused organisers to cancel May’s Wings and Wheels show, which was to feature flying displays as well as exhibitions of ground-based vehicles including antique tractors, many were bitterly disappointed.
But, thanks to a fantastic idea of combining the Heveningham Hall Country Fair with a postponed Wings and Wheels, Halesworth’s aerial enthusiasts were treated to the show of a lifetime.
‘We were very lucky with the weather and it was a lovely event with a great atmosphere,’ Hall owner Lois Clark told the EDP, ‘We had a 10k run, won in 36 minutes, and raft racing on the lakes. There were lots for people to do and I’m sure everyone who came really enjoyed themselves.’
