Halesworth’s residents got a chance to take a dabble into the beautiful world of watercolour painting, yesterday. Local artist Dawn Pretty held a taster session for avid watercolour enthusiasts at The Cut Arts Centre from 10am to 1pm, with a large assortment of the town’s residents turning up to have a go.
Born in Rhodesia, Dawn has been painting regularly since an early age, and has honed her watercolour skills over the course of many years. She often runs many of Halesworth’s watercolour workshops and is a master painter of Suffolk’s picturesque vistas.
Though you might just have missed her latest painting session, worry not, because she’s a frequent figure at The Cut and regularly hosts sessions there. And if you just can’t wait, she’s also more than happy to take bookings, and specialises in deluxe weekend courses and tailored sessions for holidaymakers. For more details, she has her own website and loves to meet new people.
