Get the family together, there’s so much going on in Halesworth this summer.
British summer time is the best time of year for those good old family days out. The sun is shining as Mum gets everyone into the car with regimental efficiency, as Dad trails behind with picnic baskets, folding chairs, wind breakers, cool boxes and a mountain of everything else, designed for those summer days out.
After all that, it’s always good if the destination lives up to what you expect. Halesworth is a place that wont let you down on that front.
A beautiful country town, just off the Suffolk coast Halesworth is everything you would expect from traditional Suffolk.
To feed the family, there is a great selection of pubs and restaurants.
And to top it off, there are loads of events going on this summer in Halesworth.
For those into their performing arts Halesworth kicks off its events with The Hide Tide Festival, celebrating local art and performers.
On June 19th the Millenium Green Family Fun Day is a brilliant way to get the kids involved with nature. The natural festival includes many animals to see as well as fun and games for those with opposable thumbs.
The June fun continues on the 26th with the annual ThoroughFair, where you can sample local food, drink and crafts in the streets of Halesworth.
Come August time the Gig in the Park always goes down a storm. Situated, you’ve guessed it, in the park, the annual event brings local music acts together for a brilliant day out.
