Easter is upon us once more, but this ancient festival is about so much more than chocolate eggs. It’s a chance for the family to come together and share some wonderful experiences. With this in mind, we’ve put together this guide to the best of what’s on in Halesworth this easter weekend.
The events start just before the weekend. On April Fool’s Day the critically acclaimed Her directed by Spike Jonze and starring Joaquin Phoenix and the voice of Scarlett Johansson will be shown at local theatre and exhibition centre The Cut. The Cut is also home to regular classes and exhibitions so there is plenty for people to see and do.
If you fancy a bit of culture at Snape Maltings potter Chris Soule will be doing an exhibition of his work until 9th April. As well as being based in East Anglia his work is inspired by the local landscape and is something that is well worth taking time out to see.
For local business people looking to network Halesworth Business Connections will be meeting at the Angel Hotel on the 3rd April. All people are welcome to join the event and if you enjoy it you can pay up to be a member of the group and get the full benefit of their networking connections.
Of course while it can be fun to feast on chocolate and hot cross buns it can be good to burn it off with a walk. The river Alde, Iken Cliff and Snape Warren are three examples of great local walks that can let you take in the beauty of the local area (for those of you fancy less strenuous ways of taking in the countryside it is possible to book river trips as well).
